2008/2009 Season Announced!

The 2008/2009 season's for Kimmel Center Presents and the Cadillac Broadway series have just been announced. Visit our digital brochure to see the artists and hear audio and see video samples of their work. You can subscribe to KCP series here or to Broadway's series here.

Some highlights after the jump. Keep in mind, there are still more shows to come!

Vienna Philharmonic with Zubin Mehta conducting and Lang Lang as the soloist; Gustavo Dudamel, the 27-year-old phenomenon Gustavo Dudamel leading the Israel Philharmonic before he begins his appointment as the music director for the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Plus, recitals from Itzhak Perelman, Daniel Barenboim, and Hilary Hahn, and a our organ series, featuring three Kimmel Center debuts, Vincent Dubois, Jane Parker-Smith, and James David Christie.

The 70th Anniversary of Blue Note, celebrated with a concert featuring Ravi Coltrane, Pat Martino, Nicholas Payton, among others; the return of Jazz at Lincoln Center led by Wynton Marsalis; and a five-concert series celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Miles Davis' landmark album, Kind of Blue.

The return of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Soweto Gospel Choir, and Ravi Shankar with Anoushka Shankar; Chris Thile of Nickel Creek performing with Edgar Meyer, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Natalie MacMaster, Kodo Drummers, and fado queen Mariza.

The Philadelphia premiere of La La La Human Steps performing Édouard Lock's Amjad; a world premiere of Philadelphia's own Rennie Harris, and brand new works from young choreographers performed by Philadanco.

For Broadway, there's the premiere of 2007's Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Spring Awakening, the premiere of Legally Blonde and a new production of A Chorus Line.
