Shen Wei Dance Arts
Recipient of a MacArthur "Genius" grant last year, choreographer Shen Wei returns to the Kimmel Center this weekend with a new program of works, featuring two Philadelphia premieres: Map (pictured left) set to Steve Reich's Desert Music and Re–, based on the spirituality of Tibetan culture with music sung by Ani Choying Drolma, a Tibetan nun.
