The Drowsy Chaperone has been affectionately known at the "little musical that could." The show began as a bachelor party gift, presented to Bob Martin and Janet Van De Graaff by their theatrically inclined friends; it went on to win more Tony awards than any other show in 2006. It all begins when a die-hard musical fan plays his favorite cast album, a 1928 hit called The Drowsy Chaperone, and the show magically comes to life in his sitting room.
