Ballet Folklorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez
Ballet Folklorico began officially in 1959, but it had its beginnings in Amalia Hernandez's early attempts in 1952 to form a company that would represent Mexico's cultural heritage. The company is on a neverending quest to rescue the traditional dances from pre-Columbian and Hispanic Viceroy-era Mexico as well as through the Mexican revolution.
