Tonight we're opening the Jazz Fridays series with an evening of big band and Latin jazz. First, Paquito D'Rivera, Cuban-born jazz great and former member of Dizzy Gillespie's big band, kicks off the evening with his quintet. Then, Nnenna Freelon joins the Count Basie Orchestra for swinging favorites from the American Songbook.

The event was SPECTACULAR! I was looking forward to seeing Paquito, but the Count Bassie Orquestra unexpectedly blew me away! I absolutely loved it! Thanks again!
