Kronos Quartet, April 19, 2007
It seems like the Kronos Quartet would have already performed at the Kimmel Center, but no, tonight is their debut. They're performing an evening length piece by Terry Riley called Sun Rings, inspired by the sounds emanating from space probes Voyager and Galileo. The performance also includes a visual presentation designed by Willie Williams which features imagery sent back to earth from spacecraft of the 1970s.
