Estampas Porteñas, the company presenting Tango Fire, has been called "sex on legs" (Courier Mail). Tango made the surprising leap from the brothels of Argentina to ballrooms around the world, and this afternoon, to Verizon Hall. What did you think of this steamy afternoon delight?

First visit to the Kimmel and the show was worth the two hour drive. No distractions on the stage, the quartet filled the hall without tons of equipment and the dancers were splendid.

The Quatrotango group sounded like "tango lite".
The violinist was barely a notch above a skilled
amateur. The music was devoid of passion. This
is tango? I don't think so. The dancers were
TANGO.
