The NHK Symphony Orchestra made its Kimmel Center debut this week under the direction of Vladimir Ashkenazy with Hélène Grimaud at the piano. The program included Debussy's La mer (The Sea) one of the most recognizeable classical pieces, as well as Elgar's Variations (short movements based on his family and friends). What did you think of the concert? Or, read the Philadelphia Inquirer review, and tell us if you agree.
