Though I do wish they had played more songs from their first 4 records, it was an incredible concert. Emily was in excellent voice (it seemed Amy was slightly under the weather, perhaps). The fans went WILD, as usual. I don't think I've ever heard such loud screaming in Verizon Hall!

And the opener, Arizona, had some really fine moments too. I found them quite endearing, and might even make a point of buying their record. They seemed an odd choice for the IGs, but given that the IG shows have become more and more rock and less and less folk, it worked.

went to high school with Amy and Emily. took English lit.2 with Emily shot dental rubber bands at mean old ms.cain. lotsa laughs even though Emily was kinda quiet, she never missed out on a good laugh. Amy,on the other hand was a true rebel with a certain wisdom way beyond her years.in her oversized flannel shirts and faded out jeans;she told me something that really impacted my world. their success didn't shock me a bit. one time during lunch

I just caught wind of an event that just happened last night in DC. This "Pray for Peace" included performances by Graham Nash, David Crosby, Jackson Browne, and others. A local radio station has pics, video and audio from the event. Check it out at www.idigbig.com.
