FOr a true jazz lover this concert was one of the most exciting experiences one could have. To hear all or these legends of jazz plus new and up and coming jazz musicians in one concert was truly an unforgettable experience! BRAVO !!!!!
...and pretty outstanding bari-sax playing, no?
This was indeed a fantastic performance. My wife and I sat, listened, and enjoyed some real jazz from the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Band. It was a priviledge to see some of the legends again. It was also inspiring to see that the young set blended in so well. This is truly an indication that we will continue to be endowed by supreme talent.
It was well worth getting up at 4:00am and boarding a 6:15am flight from Monterey in order to see these fantastic musicians at the Kimmel. I have no regrets.
Keep it coming.
