Wicked Phili01.jpgDing, dong, the Witch is here!

The hit Broadway musical, Wicked, opens at the Academy tonight. Even though it's here for three weeks, tickets are still hard to come by. There's always the lottery that opens two and a half hours before each show. Twenty tickets are available through the lottery, up to two tickets will be awarded to each winner. Come early and enter to win your seats if you don't already have them. Also, check the box office for cancellations or released seats before the show starts.

And then, once you've seen the show and you've got "Defying Gravity" in your head, come back and tell us what you thought.

Phenomenal! Everything about the show was fabulous!
Wish it were staying longer or returning so we could see it again!
Beautiful voices, great stage presence, super acting, (even the monkeys were mesmerizing)! The humor...the "realness" of identifying with being left out like Elphaba...Defying Gravity...so outstanding!!!! All of the issues that were addressed in this show and brought to life. Loved it!

It's good to hear you're interested in seeing it again. We've just announced that Wicked will return in the summer of 2007.

This show is simply amazing. I've had the pleasure of seeing it in New York on more than one ocassion with Idina Menzel in the Elphaba role, but Julia Murney is just as mezmerizing. Outstanding job by all. Thanks for bringing Broadway to Philadelphia!
