Kimmel Center Presents is proud to announce "Philly's best, and only, funky hip-hop steel guitar band," (Philadelphia Inquirer) Slo-Mo will open for the dynamic jazz outfit Medeski, Martin and Wood on Friday, April 7, 2006 at 8:30pm in Verizon Hall. Slo-Mo will feature songs from their catalog including Novelty and their latest release, My Buzz Comes Back.

Slo-Mo is the brainchild of Michael Brenner, a Philadelphia based guitarist who has lent his considerable skills to several bands, including Marah. The new album My Buzz Comes Back features the distinctive combination of rap, techno and slide guitar that has made Slo-Mo a fan favorite. With Brenner on lap steel and rapper Mic Wrecka doling out lyrics, Slo-Mo may never go away.
