Sylvia McNair, Valentine's Day Special, February 14th
Sylvia McNair has sung everything from Mozart arias to Harold Arlen's "Come Rain or Come Shine." Her repertoire encompasses cabaret music from the past 75 years as well as opera. McNair has even sung, by special invitation, for former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. For tonight's Valentine's Day Special, Sylvia McNair brings her warm, romantic cabaret sound to Perelman Theater for an evening of standards. What did you think of the show tonight? Ms. McNair was just lovely. Her spirit and love for the American Songbook lit up the stage (along with that dazzling necklace!). Kudos for a great show and wonderful end to a perfect Valentine's night.
A concert I'd see any day! She has a gorgeous voice! I immensely enjoyed the entire evening. An unexpected treat was hearing her play the violin.
