Gary Burton Generations Quartet with Brad Mehldau, Friday, January 27th

Posted at January 30, 2006 08:29 AM in Jazz .

The next generation of jazz superstars, with current legend Gary Burton and pianist Brad Mehldau, take the stage on Friday. Our haiku contest winners were in the audience, and I hope they'll give us their review of the show.

Don't forget to go back and read Mervon Mehta's interview with Gary Burton from earlier this month.

Even if you didn't pay for your tickets with verse, let us know how you liked the show.

I won tickets for the show by writing a haiku. The seats were great and I hope that there will be more contests on this blog.
My wife and I really enjoyed the show, especially the Gary Burton segment. I know that this was the first time that Burton played the Kimmel Center and I hope that he will come back soon.
Keep great jazz coming to Philly. This is a town that really appreciates it.

Keep checking back, Brian. We had such a good response to the haiku contest that we're planning to hold additional contests.

I'm glad you enjoyed the show!
