Philly All-Star Jazz Night Indeed!

Hey everyone! It occured to me lately that I am, indeed, becoming a real-life adult! At 28 this is a concept who's time should have come years ago, but whatever...I'm not going to sweat it. This realization came in the form of a meaningful milestone for a great artist and close friend of mine. I've seen many wonderful performances on the Verizon Hall stage, but for the first time, a close personal friend of mine will be performing on that stage, and I couldn't be prouder or feel older. As an artist, accomplishments like that always seemed to be reserved for mature individuals with the benefit of experience and great travels under their belt. Well, kids, I guess that time has come for at least one member of my little circle of artistic friends. It is a daunting fact and one I am extremely excited about. It does the artistic spirit good to see this milestone come to pass, and encourages me to continue in my own pursuits.

I urge you all to visit Verizon Hall this Friday evening for the Philly All-Star Jazz night and enjoy a performance by my friend Seth Meicht...the Odean Pope Saxaphone Choir, and the rest of the fabulous line-up. If you see me say hi. I'll be the chubby guy with the beard busting with pride.

awwww Seth sure is a lucky guy to have friend like you Johnny Broad Street.

In a similar manner, I'm bustin' with pride for TU grad and pianist on the bill George Burton.

Growing up sure is fun! Congrats to all of the locals playing Verizon and all around the city. Keeping music alive one note at a time.....
