Accordions, Mozart and Wu Man

From the Only At The Kimmel Center Files:

Tonight in the Perelman Theater, we welcome back one of our favorite repeat rental clients, the local group Vox Ama Deus. They'll be performing three Mozart pieces and will host Dan Grigore at the piano. In the same theater only one night later, returning after their inaugural event last year, is the ALS Hope Foundation fundraising event, featuring the Accordion Pops Orchestra. By the time you realize that next Thursday Kimmel Center Presents also offers up Wu Man in the Perelman, and on the 19th we welcome Ellis Marsalis, it becomes clear that our 650-seat theater leads an eclectic, if not slightly surreal, life. It's bizarrely fun to step back and take the long view of our small venue as home to everything from polka to the pipa.
