Mary Black has been one of Ireland's top singers for more than 20 years; Maura O'Connell was the lead vocalist for De Danaan and appeared in Martin Scorsese's The Gangs of New York; Cara Dillon has appeared in Australia and New Zealand with A Woman's Heart and was received Tattler Magazine's Woman of the Year Music Award; Sharon Shannon was once a part of the Irish group The Waterboys, and she has performed for Irish president Mary Robinson and President Bill Clinton. These four accomplished singers are bringing their unique Irish voices to Verizon Hall this afternoon. What did you think of each of them, and how was the concert as a whole?
WOW! It was a great show and they were fabulous, and took us to another place. Giving us a taste of the best of Ireland. Sharing their stories with us, encouraging us though song and even a little dance. Thanks Ladies
I had been expecting more traditional Irish music. I was impressed by all of the women's vocals but some of the musical styles were not my cup of tea. But, a lot of talent showed on stage tonight.
