Gearing the building up for a VERY big weekend.

Greetings everyone! Zero hour 9am....the Kimmel Center is abuzz with activity getting ready for our exciting new season and our scintilating opening weekend...and you've got the inside scoop. There really is something about opening night that changes the very air in the building. I did my usual building walk-through this morning, and found nearly every available space in the center in some stage of preparation. The new gift shop looks great, Commonwealth Plaza is set to welcome Tony Bennett fans from around the globe and Verizon Hall sits in wait to roar to life at 8pm eastern standard time. As a House Manager, it's always exciting when the masses return to the Kimmel Center for opening night and give it the life that makes our jobs so rewarding. Personally, however, I just can't wait 'til the Roots get here and pop the Vaulted Glass Roof off of this place! (figuratively of course...actually popping the roof off would undoubtedly cause much mess and widespread traffic issues in Center City) Enjoy yourselves everybody! That's what we're here for! Dig it.

Ummmmmhmmmmmm.....no doubt this place will be hoppin' all weekend, and with stylin' house mangers like Johnny BroadStreet, it's going to be a good time. ;)
